Who we are

Plant City Community Development Corporation (PCCDC) is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization established in 2005.   PCCDC is an experienced community housing development organization working in the City of Plant City neighborhoods and in Eastern Hillsborough County.

 

What We Do

PCCDC is partnering with the City of Plant City and the Hillsborough County Affordable Housing Department to develop and construct homes in Plant City and to implement the County’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) in Plant City and Eastern Hillsborough County.  PCCDC’s housing program involves finding and qualifying low to moderate income individuals and families to build a new home or buy an existing home.

PCCDC also assists first time home buyers (FTHB) with SHIP, HOME, and other down payment assistance programs.

 

Our Mission

 Serving and enabling very low, low, and moderate income people through providing affordable housing and facilitating supportive services.

PCCDC is accomplishing its mission through community revitalization initiatives, including:

  • —  Building single family homes in Laura Estates in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood of Plant City.
  • —  Establishing and maintaining a Self-help Housing Program that constructed 10 homes.
  • —  Establishing and maintaining home buyer and financial counseling for participating applicants.
  • —  Assisting the City and County as a NSP Home Partner in acquiring and rehabbing 13 existing homes and reselling them to qualified extremely low, very low and low income families.

 

Our immediate goals include:

  •  Initiating and complete Phase III of Laura Estates redevelopment
  •  Increase total number of eligible first time home buyers for financing and down payment assistance
  •  Maintain ongoing first time home buyer financial and credit counseling 
  •  Expand Community Development Partners
